Holiday Unit, Sukkot
Below are links to the instructions, vocabulary lists and sample scripts for Hebrew Through Movement Holiday Unit: Sukkot. Additionally, there are flashcards of the vocabulary words found in this holiday unit for students who are ready for visual cues, instead of just verbal ones; these will generally be used in later years of study with Hebrew Through Movement, not the first or second one.
Newly added to this page is a video of the vocabulary introduced in the Sukkot unit, with pronunciation and translation. This video was posted to help parents hear and better understand the language that their children are bringing home! Feel free to share the link with them. Happy teaching! |

Sukkot Vocabulary |
Sukkot Picture CardsWhether you are teaching virtually or in-person, these photos will help you illustrate HTM Sukkot vocabulary. As teacher, you will want to use the larger size (one-per-page), but if you are teaching virtually, you may want to send your children either the four- or two-per-page PDFs so they can learn, then demonstrate, their knowledge of the words.

These are pictures of sukkot PLUS other kinds of shelters (tent, teepee, etc). Teach the word "sukkah" to students and then show these cards asking, "סוכה - כן או לא" (is this a sukkah? Yes or no?).
